Open PhD positions

We offer 2 PhD student positions for highly motivated, talented students in the group of Prof. Lie. If you want to know more about him and the other PIs and their research foci, please refer to their profile in the section “faculty“. The positions will be available from July 2023 or upon agreement.

Participants will be intensively guided by an interdisciplinary team of experts in basic, clinical and translational neuroscience. Our curriculum is tailored to train young researchers in innovative concepts and key scientific skills to prepare them for their career.

MD thesis stipends

Are you a highly motivated medical student interested in performing your thesis in one of the GRK2162 labs?

Then find your favorite working group (“faculty“), ask for an open position and apply with your future supervisor for one of the 8 months stipends (861 EUR/month plus 103 EUR material costs).

MD rotation position

Clinician scientists are essential for translational and clinical research. The GRK aims to integrate physicians with research experience and a strong interest in translational neuroscience by offering them the opportunity to conduct full time research under the mentorship of an GRK faculty member. The rotation positions will allow the physicians to work full time for 6 months in a GRK laboratory. The affiliated clinical department is requested to match the funding so that  the physicians will have the opportunity to pursue full-time research for 12-months.
