The research group of Dr. Ruth Beckervordersandforth (Institute of Biochemistry) offers a Ph.D. position embedded in the DFG-funded priority program 1757 “Functional specialization of neuroglia as critical determinants of brain activity” and associated to the GRK2162 to study hippocampal astrocyte heterogeneity and dynamics in the adult mouse brain.

  • with an excellent M.Sc. or equivalent degree in (neuro-)biology, biochemistry or related areas,
  • with a strong interest in basic and translational neurobiology and
  • with strong team working abilities
